Hi,
I am trying to download the certificates from manage file encryption certificates(certmgr.msc) but there
"backup the certificate and key now you should backup the certificate and key to removable media"
option is disabled.
i am not sure weather updates happened or not.
Logged in system with domain user and user has admin rights. System in office domain.
Operating system: WIN7
Can any one suggest how to enable.

Hi Santhosh,
Please understand the certificates is usually used in domain envorinment. It is not a simply client issue. I suggest posting in Server Forum to get more professional
assistance.

Hi Niki,
But i observed that on other machines the option is not grayed out and these machines are in same domain network.
Any way i was posted this in
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserversecurity/threads.
Thanks

Not sure if this applies to your situation, but if you did not mark
the certificate as exportable when it was originally installed, then
the option will definitely be greyed out when you are trying to export
that particular certificate later.
The certificate import wizard whas an option for this :
"Mark this key as exportable. This will allow you to back up or
transport your keys at a later time."
If this option was not checked at install time then that might explain
why some are exportale and this one is not...

Hi All,
Thanks for the reply. We are unable to back up certificates even I am loggin in to the Local Admin account. The options are grayed out. Is their is any group policy or any other tweak to enable the back up option.
